JOB SUMMARY:
Lead role in engineering new product and provide engineering support for current product. Experience in rough terrain, off-highway or construction equipment preferred.
 
ESSENTIAL PERFORMANCE REQUIREMENTS:
Provides engineering for design of new products, modifying existing designs, improvements in production techniques and assist in the development of procedures, best practices and standards.
Resolves problems using solutions that involve new techniques, technologies or concepts.
Analyzes technology trends, and market demand to plan projects.
Confers with management and production to determine engineering feasibility, cost effectiveness and customer demand for new and existing products.
Advises management of new developments which may affect profit, schedule, costs, customer relations and/or inter-departmental relations.
Maintains a working knowledge of new technologies which may improve operations and develops recommendations accordingly.

Education/Experience
A Bachelor of Science in Engineering degree and a minimum of five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience should be related to industrial vehicles, off-road equipment, and material handling equipment or related product.
 
Knowledge and Skills
·         Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
·         Ability to add, subtracts, multiply, and divides in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
·         Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
·         Basic data entry skills, required

JOB SUMMARY:
To provide engineering support to the Product Development department. Responsible for developing new product and supporting current product. Experience in rough terrain, off-highway or construction equipment preferred. 
 
ESSENTIAL PERFORMANCE REQUIREMENTS:
·         Responsible for engineering new and current product designs.
·         Duties include but are not limited to fixture design (CAD – modeling, drawings, etc.), data acquisition, minor machining, dynamic vehicle testing, assembly of prototype components, FMEA workshop, and technical production support.
·         Prepares technical reports from test results, analyze data for design improvement.
·         Flexible schedule to facilitate travel needs for field testing and supplier assistance.
·         Ability to adapt to constant change while ensuring the overall goal is met   
·         Adheres to the established specifications and standards related to each project.
·         Provide input on project schedules as required.

Education/Experience
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); Preferred Bachelors Degree in Mechanical, years of experience can be substituted. Some vehicle, industrial truck and hydraulic experience, as well asdesign and testing of mobile equipment, preferably within the material handling industry. Experience in data acquisition recording, analysis, and reporting. 
Understanding of the technical concepts of engineering principles, codes and standards is required. Must have 3D CAD modeling and drafting skills. Experience using CATIA V5 and SmartTeam are preferred. Must demonstrate a strong work ethic, flexibility, multi-tasking ability and be a fast learner.

JOB SUMMARY:
Assist Engineers in everyday decision-making process by making recommendations.
 
ESSENTIAL PERFORMANCE REQUIREMENTS:
  • Prepare lift trucks and/or components for testing by installing all needed equipment and preparing test stands/fixtures. 
  • Safely perform and document testing according to guidelines prescribed by the Test Engineer. Construct fixtures for conducting specialized testing of components.
  • Tear down/rebuild trucks and components as needed for research and development purposes.
  • Assist in training Test technicians procedures and test methods.
  • Maintain clean and organized work and storage areas within Product Validation Department.
